This modifier is often referred to as Mealy but is also called Pangare' (pan-guh-RAY). The effects of this modifier are seen along the underside of the horse. On the muzzle, behind the elbows, in the flanks, on the buttock, above or around the eyes and along the belly. The colour of these areas depend on the colour of the horse but usually range from white to a light tan.
Note: the light hair around the eyes - this mare is NOT grey, pictured here as a 3 year old and a 7 year old, she has not greyed out like a true grey does, she has remained the same colour since shedding her foal coat.
