Horse Rug Repairs
I use tent repair materials from any Outdoors/camping retailer to fix my synthetic rugs:
For straight rips I just hold the two sides together and run glue along it. Once properly dry the glued area is water proof and actually stronger then the rest of the rug.
For holes etc I use the tent repair material as a patch.
I also use Tent water-proofer to re-water proof my synthetic rugs and any rugs I make for my minis - much cheaper then buying water-proofing agents from a horse shop.
